Waking Up with Intention …

When we first open our eyes, we might be flooded with thoughts about the people we have to see but don’t want to, and the seemingly endless things we need to do!

It can be hard to prevent these thoughts - instead what we can do is set a one word intention for the day.

Remember - rather than setting an intention of what we need to do, set an intention of how we want to be.

By taking a big breath in, closing our eyes and feeling this intention we can embody this essence throughout our day:

. Confidence
. Trust
. Patient
. Free
. Ease
. Honest
. Authentic
. Forgiveness
. Compassion
. Understanding

Our self-awareness is important when setting intentions. It’s the ability to possess the knowledge, understanding, and recognition of who we are.

Knowing one’s self means being mindful of our disposition, character, motives, strengths, weaknesses, passions, and desires. It allows for identifying what makes us unique in terms of our thoughts and actions.

Knowing our self and being honest with our self is a vital element of complete healing and transformation.
