Inhale

Deep and slow for 4 seconds

Hold

Hold your breath for 2 seconds

Exhale

Deep and slow for 6 seconds

A nice exercise to save and practice at any time, with a gentle reminder that we don't have to be great to start, we just have to start to be great:

Begin with just 5 minutes a day, and increase time as the exercise becomes easier and more comfortable.

If 5 minutes feels too long, start with just 2 minutes.

Practice multiple times a day. Schedule set times or practice conscious breathing.

This simple breathing exercise can help refresh, calm our body and mind immediately and may also help reduce stress and help with challenges related to COPD, eating, constipation, high blood pressure, migraine episodes, and other health conditions.

Often used and practiced with our patients in our salt therapy sessions.
