It’s Holiday Time …

It’s that time of year again! Christmas is approaching fast and it’s usually this time of the year where the rituals we have created unravel and we set strict new year resolutions to make up for our downfalls.

Maintaining our progress we have made throughout the year with our health is not about perfection during the jolly season but consistency.

Practice 80 / 20:

Avoid setting unrealistic expectations. We may not be able to eat healthy at every single meal nor will we want to. There is always that one family dish that we love!

Instead of aiming for perfection or completely throwing out our healthy habits, create balance.

80% of the time when we are at home and in control - do it well, maintaining our rituals, and 20% of the time when we are out with our family and friends - relax, enjoy and really be in the moment.

Consistency is what makes an action become a ritual, not perfectionism.
