Self Reliance in Healing ...

Another stage of healing is understanding the importance of self reliance or autonomy. Autonomy is simply our independent thoughts and actions, or the boundaries that make us us.

Developing our personal boundaries and knowing ourself honestly is how we can continue to move through our path toward healing and wellness.

An example in this might be asking ourself, “Is this something I really want, or is this something someone else wants? Am I doing this to put up appearances or make someone else happy?”

Establishing these clear boundaries of who we are and what we value is putting us in control, making us more in tune with our priorities, and helping us to avoid unnecessary stress.

While movies might be wonderful in black and white, when it comes to healing there is a whole range of colours to explore.
