Listening to Ourselves and Others …

During times of discomfort, we must try not to concern ourselves with how other people respond or react (as much as possible), that is their business over which we have no say or control. Our business is who we are being. Try to always check before we speak: 'why are we saying this'? Many times we realise that our intention is to coerce, compel or control. If that's the case, then don't say it. When we speak only from love, care and compassion things just work more peacefully (we hope).

Something I have to work on every moment every day. I don't always get what I want from others and that is something I have learned to accept. What I can do is give myself what I need, and that is often harder than it sounds. Speak less, listen more ❤
