Acceptance / Responsibility / Defenselessness ...

When we can accept people, situations, circumstances, events as they occur it means we know that this moment is as it should be, and it is a combination of all moments we have experienced in the past. When we struggle against this moment we are struggling against the entire universe. If we can learn to accept things as they are, not as we wish them to be in this moment, we are taking responsibility for our situation.

Responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for our situation. Having accepted this circumstance, this event, this problem, responsibility then means the ability to have a creative response to the situation as it is now. All problems will contain the seeds of opportunity and this awareness allows us to take the moment and transform it to a better situation or thing.

Defenselessness comes next and means that our awareness is established in defenselessness and we relinquish the need to convince or persuade others of our point of view. Often if we observe people around us, we may see that most spend a lot of energy defending their point of view. If we can relinquish this need to defend our point of view, in this relinquishment we will have access to enormous amounts of energy that has been previously wasted. When we become defensive, blame others, and do not accept and surrender to the moment, then our life meets resistance. Anytime we encounter resistance, try to recognise that if we force the situation, the resistance will only increase. We don't want to stand rigid like a tall oak tree that cracks and collapses in the storm. Instead, we want to be flexible like a willow tree that bends with the storm and survives.

When we learn acceptance, responsibility, and defenselessness we can experience life flowing effortlessly. Detach - we may find our dreams and desires will flow and blossom into reality. We can be sure that when the season is right, our desires will manifest.
