Fear, Anxiety and the Colon ...

Anxiety, fear, depression, sadness, and control are all words that we can connect with. They each trigger an immediate emotion that we can feel and almost touch. Now amplify that 100 times and that is what your gut feels. The 'gut feeling' is direct and it knows!

Doing the kind of work that we do, through research, learning and being with patients, we have developed a deep understanding and knowledge of the colon.

We are practitioners who are not only well-versed in anxiety, fear, depression, sadness and control, but are willing to acknowledge their disabling impact on our patients. We get to help our patients understand how close the relationship is between gut and brain, gut and ADHD, gut and anxiety, gut and depression, gut and addiction, the list goes on.

Many people are familiar with the neurotransmitter serotonin because it is targeted by widely-used antidepressants. What many people don’t realise, however, is that gut bacteria are actually the body’s major producer of serotonin.

Numerous studies have shown that when assisted with colonic irrigation, the gut starts to rehydrate, repair and restore. We then begin to replace the nutrients which we have not been able to absorb.

Through our clinic, we see that behavioural and mood changes are significant in our adult and child patients.

Children also get stressed and anxiety ridden. They struggle with how to communicate their stress, so they may misbehave.

Remember, that gut feeling ~ It is the truth that lies inside of you.
